The numbers of Domi Cibulkova in 2018 (I): Third Round in the first tournament, Sydney (Australia)

    Our Slovak tennis player, Dominika Cibulkova, premiered in 2018 in Sydney, Premier category tournament, before the first major event of the year, the first Grand Slam of the season to be held in Melbourne, at he end of January, as well as Sydney, city Australian. 

      In this tournament, Domi reached the third round after beating the Latvian and top-seeded number 8 ot the tournament, Anastasija Sebastova by (3-6) and (1-6) in the first two matches and in the second round (Eighth Finals) to the Russian, Yelena Vesnina for a double (6-4). 

    Already in the third round, Domi was overtaken by the German, Angeline Kerber, one of the favorites to win the Grand Slam of Australia and in 2017 was number one, a Kerber to remember, Domi defeated in the final of the Masters of Singapore 2016 (the best match of the sports career of our tennis player from Bratislava) but on this occasion, would fall defeated by the German tennis player in two sets (3-6), (1-6). 

       Undoubtedly, an acceptable Domi Cibulkova tournament with a view to the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open.
